Project Management Skills
Agile Concepts & Scrum Fundamentals
I completed Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM) training and gained a solid understanding of Agile principles. I know how sprints, daily stand-ups, and iterative delivery keep teams aligned and responsive to change. While I haven't worked in a formal “Agile shop,” I've applied these concepts in real-world scenarios where priorities shift and you have to adapt fast.
Task Ownership & Accountability
I've been trusted with key responsibilities like ACAS patching, server monitoring, and secure file transfers. I took ownership, learned the processes inside out, and kept things running without needing oversight. My approach has always been to take the lead, complete the task, and look for ways to make it better.
Knowledge Transfer & SOP Development
I've written clear SOPs, walked teammates through technical workflows, and made sure nothing important got lost during transitions. I know how to document processes in a way that helps others pick up the task and keep things moving. That mindset carries directly into project handoffs and team scaling.
Supporting Compliance-Driven Projects
I've supported systems that had to meet strict compliance requirements. I ran ACAS scans, used STIG Viewer, kept patch schedules updated, and documented findings clearly. I wasn't the one writing POA&Ms, but I delivered the data that fed into them. I made sure reporting was accurate and deadlines were met.
Workflow & Timeline Coordination
Whether it was loading keys before a field mission or reimaging systems before a turnover, I worked with teams to hit deadlines and stay mission-ready. When plans changed, I adjusted without delay. Keeping projects on track is second nature to me.
Cross-Functional Communication
I've had to explain tech issues to people who weren't in IT. Whether it was a phone outage or a SIPR access issue, I broke it down in a way that made sense. I'm comfortable being the one who bridges the gap between technical teams and everyday users.
Leadership, Collaboration & Peer Development
I led from the front. Whether I was training junior soldiers or helping teammates troubleshoot a problem, I stayed hands-on and dependable. I built trust by doing the work and being available when others needed support. That mindset hasn't changed—I focus on helping the team win, not just doing my part.
Technical Skills
System Administration
I've worked directly with virtual infrastructure, user management, and vulnerability scanning. Most of my hands-on experience comes from managing ESXi environments with vSphere, monitoring systems using iDRAC and BMC, and maintaining uptime by identifying issues before they became outages. I've also done imaging, user support, and some basic hardware troubleshooting.
Information Security Support (RMF, ACAS, STIG)
While I haven't led compliance efforts, I've supported them through regular ACAS scans, STIG analysis using DoD STIG Viewer, and SCAP tool reviews. I understand RMF concepts and how system configurations, inherited vulnerabilities, and documentation play into achieving and maintaining ATO.
Secure Communications (COMSEC)
As a COMSEC Manager, I regularly loaded encryption keys using SKL and understood key handling procedures like issuing, destroying, and tracking access. I helped fellow soldiers understand the “why” behind our process and supported field exercises by rotating keys on a strict schedule.
IT Operations & Support
I've reimaged and supported over 200 classified systems, working with users to troubleshoot common issues—from software errors to misconfigurations and network outages. I also worked with Tier 3 and federal support teams when issues were beyond our scope, learning how to escalate and communicate clearly across teams.
Networking (Basic Switching & Connectivity)
I've physically installed and updated Cisco Catalyst 3850 switches and helped with TACLANE setup during field operations. I didn't handle deep configuration, but I followed detailed instructions, supported upgrades, and worked closely with senior network engineers during troubleshooting.
Transferable Skills
These are the traits I bring to every project, team, and mission—regardless of the role.
